We are delighted: the active ingredient Regetaste, supplied by our partner Codif, has been awarded first place in the ‘Raw Materials / Environment’ category of the BSB Innovation Award. Congratulations to Codif!
The active ingredient Regetaste is obtained from pressing residues (pomace) of the particularly polyphenol-rich apple variety Marie Ménard, which are left over from the production of Breton cider: an upcycled apple with a ‘New Skin Effect’.
Regetaste stimulates the production and activity of bitter taste receptors in the skin. This reduces the senescence of keratinocytes, stimulates cell differentiation, optimises the natural desquamation process and regenerates the epidermis from within.
For over 20 years, the BSB Innovation Award, founded by Dr Jan-Henric Riedel, has been recognising new cosmetic raw materials, conventional and natural cosmetic products, and concepts for their innovative potential.
